This Hungry Churchyard just won the "Judge's Choice Award" for Short+Sweet Hollywood! The same play is going to be produced at Short+Sweet Dublin in a few weeks, and now it's been Shortlisted for Short+Sweet Manila, coming February 2020. Hooray for this little play, laying great track for anyone itching to produce These Violent Delights... My new short play Bear Cops is going to have a reading as a part of the Alliance of Los Angeles Playwrights New Play Festival! The play centers on a big city police chief exploring any option, ANY option, to protect his community (and his job).

SOCAL SPOTLIGHT: Gem of the Ocean through November 16 By August WilsonDirected by Gregg T. Daniel A Noise Within I saw this during previews last week, magical and heartbreaking!

Pulitzer Prize winner August Wilson unfolds the African American legacy in the first chronological episode of his celebrated American Century Cycle—a soaring, mystical tale of a man desperate for redemption in 1904 Pittsburgh. Aunt Ester, a 285-year-old “soul cleanser,” sends him on a spiritual journey that dissects the nature of freedom amidst oppression and spurs him to take up the mantle of justice.
